Mukhriz Latif is a Diploma graduate of Management Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and now an avid professional photographer, with 4 years of experience in the photography world. Started off as a part-timer, now he is a Principal Photographer owning Mukhriz Latif and UdeyIsmail Photography. Having a zero background of photography never twists him down, as he believes that passions evolve into something greater. He’s also known as a founder of Lomokids, one of a big lomography (Compact Camera & Film) community.
In recent years, through changing circumstances in working experiences, he made a big decision in leaving a position of Director in one of Consultation Company as his obsession for photography lead him to become acutely serious in this field. The magic of photography has not only intrigued him, but the translation from the click of the shutter to a finished image has always amazed him. His work and passion have brought him to every nook and cranny of Malaysia, Singapore, Bandung, Abu Dhabi and Dubai to capture all the memorable scenes and emotions on many occasions. Weddings, portraits, outdoor events and vacations are among the events that have been captured through his lenses. He also played an important role in capturing moment during the wedding of Ning Baizura, one of leading celebrity in Malaysia. During the celebration of 50 years of Malaysia’s Independence, he was assigned by Government of Malaysia to capture the re-creation of the Independence proclamation in Stadium Merdeka on the celebration’s night.
With his steady progress in achieving broader recognition within the photographer community and continuous contribution with the niche lomography group, he poised to become top of the cream in this small-knitted group.
